The service was as amazing. My pork chop was tuff.
Waited 15 minutes to take drink order, by then we knew what we wanted to eat. So we gave our order. I wanted a salad before the meal. Saw waitress like ten minutes later "asked' for my salad. Service was horrible. There was 6 of us she added a 20 percent tip on there for her. Bad bad bad. Will never go back.
Maybe this place was once good but our recent experience there was not. Prices are higher than most I've seen anywhere around the area. When we were there, something was being repaired in the kitchen and it was a bit noisy. The lady who seated us was nice and apologized for it, but overall I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon. If we do, and if our next visit is better I'll update this review...
Wow WOW WOW real purple onions used for the onion rings, customer service amazing, best prime rib in Texas, excellent steak salad, everything was over the top excellent!
Good food, but the service is incredibly slow.
Great tasting fish, the steaks we're tasty as well
Going down hill fast closing earlier and earlier. Tonight’s steak had no seasoning was over cooked and the cup had food stuck to the inside of it. Last visit for me. Was a great place for the first 6 months.
Food good, service was good if you consider there were 2 or 3 other waitress just standing around doing nothing and people kept coming in and the one waitress was trying to do it all. I have waited tables before and I would of had to say something, poor girl was running her tail off.
Great food great service hometown atmosphere
It is ok. Good for the location.
All four of us enjoyed our lunch. Speedy, attentive service. The lunch menu items are a good value and include bread and two sides.
The food is great every time I go there. I don't know where those people ate but it wasn't Tumbleweed. Thanks for a good time Tumbleweed!
Whoever gave this place a 1 star rating is flippin crazy. Amazing medium rare 8oz steak with fried PURPLE onion rings. Pinto beans were pretty good and the molten white lava cake was a perfect end to our dinner. Oh and I almost forgot. I'm cold natured and normally have a jacket in my truck but since I wasn't in my truck I had no sweater. The waitress was so extremely sweet and gave me hers 😍
The food is always on point, good southern home cooking. The staff is amazing and always so sweet. One of my favorites when I am in town
Food, service and family atmosphere was just awesome! We definitely are going there again .
I love this restaurant!! Everything is so good! It's a little ways out from Longview but worth it😃
You need to be a little bit patient being that it is a locally owned restaurant, but the food is so, so good.
Very good food, nice atmosphere, great waitress. Second time here. Will come back when in the area.
Best chicken fry and eggs breakfast I ever had. Everything I have eaten there is delicious and lots of it! The waitstaff here are great.
Amazing steak. Cooked perfectly. Fried squash was good, broccoli was outstanding. Great spices coupled with a well seasoned steak tied everything together. Molten white chocolate cake and pineapple upside down cake topped off the meal nicely. Wife and I split a two for $25 special. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY.
Very disappointed 1/4'' thick steak???? Never in my life have I paid $20 for such a small steak that was not even seasoned well or cooked correctly. The fried okra was cold and was refried. The service was very slow to top it off. Will not be going back to this place again.
Cleanliness is lacking! This place was wonderful but now feels dirty an old. Food was good but expensive.
Depends on what day you go. Sometimes the food is fantastic, other times not worth eating. Not sure what changed here, but something did. Use to be our favorite place to go.
This place is great!! Food and the service is always great!!
It was a great place to have dinner. April, our waitress, was amazing. I had the Cowgirl Sirloin and at first it was a bit on the rare side, but they put it back on for another little bit and it was perfect! Thank you all for a lovely meal!
They try. Well I know that's a weird way to start but it's true. They try, to be good at steaks, they try to have good servers, they try to not make you wait forever sometimes when no one else is even there and there is no reason for it... Sorry rambled a bit, but as I said they try. Sometimes it works and sadly sometimes (often) it does not. Food is good and when things are right service is acceptable.
Food was awesome. Had the chicken fried steak. Service was severely lacking. Glasses were always empty. Got the special, she brought the bill out before we ever got dessert. 5 starts for food 1 star for service
Great steaks prices are reasonable!
We had a great visit
🌟The best chicken fried steak ever🌟
Great place to meet friends for mid afternoon lunch. Food is very good
I like the chicken fried steak!
The restaurant will be closing for good on 12/30/2018
If you are going to pay for a steak don't go they are so thin an you can't get it cooked right an no flavor. When they first opened I enjoyed there steaks the flavor was great plus ok price. But now no flavor to thin over priced . For a dollar r 2 more u can go get a real steak at saltgrass. Will not be eating a steak there again. Just my opinion
My steak was more than an inch thick, seasoned well and cooked perfect. Service was great. I had the cowgirl sirloin and it was very tender for this cut of meat.
Great service. Fantastic food. Priced a little high but well worth the cost. You will not be dissapointed.
Enjoy steaks, sandwiches, and appetizers. Lots of variety in their menu. Great onion rings!!!
Ate Dinner there on 9-19-2015. This was our 1st trip.We ordered the 10 oz Sirloins with Twice Baked Potato & a Salad with Ranch Dressing. The regular Side Salad was good & had good Ranch Dressing, NOT the yucky bottle kind.Potatoes were wonderful. The Sirloins was about 4 inches round & 2 inches thick. Ordered Medium/Rare...It was cooked to Perfection! Service was Impeccable. Waitress was very attentive & quick. Manager or Owner came by our table just to check on us. I recommend you go there & if you've been before give it another try. We Definitely will be going back!
Great steak! Very attentive server.
If you call yourself a steakhouse, it would be a brilliant idea to have an actual adult size steaks, instead of a 1/4 inch ribeye and have more than one new york strip available. My suggestion if you plan on stopping here for a steak, keep on driving to Leon's or even a chain like Saltgrass, Outback, somewhere in Longview or Tyler and don't waste your time, a preferred dining experience won't happen. We're in Texas folks!
If you want burnt meatloaf this is the place to go. When server informed manager that meatloaf was burnt, manager said to serve the burnt meatloaf to the customer. When I complained about it she discounted the meal $2.98. I complained again that I had to pay for the burnt meatloaf. she said she couldn’t do anything else about it. The entire bottom and side was burnt to a crisp. 1/4 of the meatloaf was edible. Won’t be going back there no sure. 😝😤😡
Very good food. Quiet atmosphere. Just an all around good time.
If you are going to pay this much for steak, you might as well go to Texas Roadhouse. Prices are outrageous, the steaks are tiny and tough, and the service is terrible. We were forced to pay a tip since we had more than 6 people. Won't ever go back.
It was an very clean place. the service was great. the food was just as good as Texas Road House and a lot better than Outback. I will be going back again..Great place
A rare steak should be tender. Theirs isn't. It costs more than it's worth. Better go to Roadhouse.
Tumbleweed restaurant has a rustic Vibe with the Horseshoes & Texas Stars hanging on the walls. It gives me a nice cozy warm feeling. The place is clean and in order. I always get a bowl of tasty satisfying chili. It should be an award-winning chili. I ordered the chicken breast with sauteed onions, mashed potatoes and green beans. Oh yeah, the dinner rolls are delightful. The sides were nicely seasoned but the grilled chicken breast was overcooked and a bit on the charred side. Tammy offered to replace my meal and apologized profusely. The staff is very friendly.
Tumbleweed was great place to eat I love the chicken fried steak very cheap for one of the best chicken fried steaks I ever had! it was worth the 45 mins drive! I would definitely come back to tumbleweed I would Recommend this place.
A little pricey but good food
Ordered 8 oz ribeye for $18.99, it appears like they took a average size steak and cut it 3 times. It was so thin that they couldn’t get it pink. The okra was cold and rubbery, the fried squash was fried together in 1 big clump and the chicken fried steak was burnt. And don’t get me started on the watered down tea! How is this place still open! A restaurant shouldn’t put out food like that. It’s so sad.
Great food sad they Are closing Dec 30
